Les studied Jazz and Popular music at Newcastle College before gaining a BA Honours Degree in Music Education at Sunderland University.  He worked as rehearsal pianist in London’s West End before touring with the Official London West End Tribute to the Blues Brothers (David Pugh production) as Musical Director for the 1999 European tour.  For the last seven years Les has worked as an independent arts consultant.  Together with a busy performing schedule his consultancy delivers a range of creative projects with children and young people using drama, music, art and film.
